The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially commenced the sale of application documents for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) program as of March 2, 2026.

If you are applying with a Diploma, NCE, or A-level qualification, please take note: registration is strictly restricted to JAMB’s accredited State and Zonal offices. You cannot complete DE registration at private CBT centers. The window remains open until Saturday, April 25, 2026, so ensure you have your verification documents ready to avoid the last-minute rush.

While the main UTME registration for school leavers closed on February 28, the focus has now shifted to the Optional Mock Examination. Scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, this mock is a critical "dress rehearsal" for candidates to familiarize themselves with the CBT environment.

If you opted for the mock during your registration, keep an eye out for your Mock Examination Slips, which will be available for printing in the coming days. These slips will contain your assigned center and time.

For those still navigating the process or preparing for the exam, here is the official cost breakdown and the mandatory reading material for this year:

  1. Direct Entry (DE): ₦5,700

  2. UTME (Without Mock): ₦7,200

  3. UTME (With Mock): ₦8,700

  4. Mandatory Novel: All candidates (UTME and DE) are required to read "The Lekki Headmaster" by Kabir Alabi Garba. You are entitled to a free copy of this book upon completion of your registration at an accredited center.

JAMB has emphasized that all complaints—whether regarding NIN issues, profile codes, or payment errors—must be funneled through their official Support Ticket System at support.jamb.gov.ng. Avoid third-party "fixers" and ensure you handle all biometrics personally to secure your admission status.
